Goldenhill Advises Confluence Technologies in Sale of Sustainability Index Provider, ECPI, to ISS STOXX

Goldenhill M&A Advisors today announced that it acted as an exclusive M&A advisor to Confluence Technologies, Inc., (“Confluence”) in the sale of Milan-based ECPI S.R.L. (“ECPI”) to STOXX Ltd. (“STOXX”), part of the ISS STOXX GmbH group of companies. ECPI is an established and cutting-edge provider of sustainability indices, data, and analytics to the institutional investor community
Since its founding in 1997, ECPI has focused on translating sustainability themes into
investable solutions that are based on proprietary research models. ECPI today assists
both asset owners and asset managers in developing sustainable investment solutions
that range from investable indices to sustainability portfolio screening. ECPI’s index family
reflects one of the broadest offerings in the market that are also time-tested, given the firm
launched its first index in 2001 and is a pioneer in the space. ECPI now offers more than 60
indices ranging from global benchmark to thematic, strategy, and hedged indices, with
equity and fixed income sustainability indices used by institutional investors for index
based investment products, risk and return analysis, compliance with sustainability
mandates, and to define an investment universe. Upon completion, STOXX Ltd. will
become benchmark administrator for the full portfolio of ECPI Indices.
